I was also wondering how many octaves it will reliably track...
Curious about this too, if this can handle leads in addition to those basslines then I'm definitely down for one.

I just pre-ordered mine from Novamusik. Word is that it will track 5 octaves, up to middle C. So you could use it somewhat for leads and such, but I wouldn't be ditching my main lead synth thinking the Minitaur will replace it.

Exactly what I was thinking. Was trying to think of the best hardware sequencer to use with it too.

I have been loving the Future Retro Orb with my Taurus 3. Borrowed one from a friend to see if it was good or not, and I am totally impressed with the unit. Lightweight, hardware analog sequencer that competes with the best IMO.

I'm going to get one.

I personally have never really got into the sound of Moog leads or sounds much other than bass. Therefore, my Moog Voyager does not get used for anything besides bass really. So, why do I need it?

This track was posted over at GS by Amos Gaynes.
He said it is all Minitaur except for the kick drum.

That's an early revision of the Micromac, which is now called the Vortex and has grown quite a bit:

This is exactly what I wanted from moog.....it will fit nicely with the Mononmachine and MPC

i'd probably chain it up to my x0xb0x to use it, i'm a bit queer for the analogue solutions europa tho. I often think about a missive acid setup all running from one of those....

Geddy makes a brief reference here:

and +1 on the Moog Taurus Slippers...

That's like saying, that's the Voyager, it's just got stunted a bit.

Two different models.

I don't own a Voyager. I don't own a Phatty.
I am going to own one of these. It simply has a low end that is to die for.
I imagine it's going to be a pretty chunky synth in regard to the high end. I'll find out tomorrow, and report back.
Still. Must own.
