How do you rate this in comparison to the taurus 3? Still considering down grading, and your input is valuable and would hold weight in my decision.Automatic Gainsay wrote:I don't own a Voyager. I am going to own one of these. It simply has a low end that is to die for.
I imagine it's going to be a pretty chunky synth in regard to the high end. I'll find out tomorrow, and report back.
Still. Must own.

I'm in the same boat, having saved up nearly half the funds for a T3...which to my benefit gets me smack dab at the Minitaur's price point!
Tempest + Minitaur = Raging Bull!

Damn another choice to through in to the mix
Had been debating a nice desktop VCO (2X) Mono for a time now ....
MFB Mirozwerg , Vermona Lancet , Maybe a Slim phatty , but now another grrrrrr .
Then again no Sync or PWM may put the MFB in the lead again ?

Re: New Moog apparently...
I just ordered the Taurus 3... I got it at a great price but still. I feel like maybe I should have waited.
However I really need the performance features of the T3. I actually play it in a live setting while playing bass with my hands, I need the patches and the ability to change them with the flique-of-the-toe.
The Minitaur is sorta a one-trick pony in terms of a live setting. Still, I may have to do a 3-payment plan on one just to play around with it for a while and see if I can fit it into the live rig.

He said it is all Minitaur except for the kick drum.

I'm curious, how come you guys are buying from third party distributers rather than ordering directly from Moog?
And I guess for anyone out there (LIKE ME!!!) who wants to pre-order one ASAP, what are some of the better companies to buy from?
(I'm personally in Canada incase anyone knows a good store that will sell it same price, free shipping.)

Basically this. It's cheaper and sweetwater has outstanding customer service and quite a knowledgeable staff. They've been very helpful to me in the past. Free shipping doesn't hurt either!themilford wrote:$599 @ Novamuzik vs. $675 @ Moog.presspl>y wrote:redchapterjubilee wrote:I just pre-ordered mine from Novamusik.

You could try sweetwater, although I don't know what their shipping policy is outside the US.
Re: New Moog apparently...
Hey Dustin, I really appreciate the response!
Unfortunately it's not free shipping to Canada. It never is
. Seriously, you guys in the States have no idea how lucky you have it when it comes to prices.

Re: New Moog apparently...
hmm, you know the more I think about it, this really is a smart move from moog. Really other than live players, the biggest market for analog synths (which is actually a pretty limited target group to begin with) would have to be average people with laptops producing tunes - give 'em the real deal that everyone talks about (analog), with USB (plug and play), desktop format (convenient), from the big name brand (hipster following [ducks as book is thrown.
]), plus use all that preexisting R&D and sell it for chips.
This one's going to sell big time, kinda feel Korg's just been shat on. Monotron, huh? what monotron? They already missed out on the whole stocking filler timeline, now this beast is out no one's going to give a flying monkey's about the monotrons.
...Nice job moog

Lol I have tons of their shirts, never really wear them except at home. I would say over half the things I have bought I have acquired from Novamuzik. Those guys rock.Stalfosia wrote:INovamusik...

Novamusik's customer service is peerless. And when you buy a lot from Novamusik they tend to knock your prices down a bit. Sweetwater's awesome like that too.
