I only wish the LFO's would go higher, like up to 50-100Hz so you could get some wacky ringmod sounds out of them.

Great though that you have a totally separate "vibrato" LFO so you don't have to waste the usual LFO for modwheel vibrato They really thought of everything.

ditto... they really outdid themselves. Instead of cutting corners and making dual purpose, mutually-exclusive knobs a la MFB, they just give you an independent knob

The LFO goes pretty damn high, but seems to lock into set frequencies once you're in audio rate... it's like fast, faster and ultra-fast. I think that's just the nature of digital LFOs.

Most of the analogue circuits were custom-designed by Steiner (the creator of the synthacon modular stuff) for this synth.

So are people still getting theirs, or was that whole "we've improved the factory!" thing a sham? My dates keep getting pushed back, but I'm not sure if that's for new buyers and I'm in line for earlier or what.

I can check with my store if they got more than mine. They had ordered 20, but got only one, which they kept behind the counter for me. I assume they got the rest of them by now, I got mine a month ago. He said they had many more people on the waiting list..

i just got confirmation from musician's friend i'm pushed back until december 6th

Probably the best place to check since they move sold out items out of the for sale area on their site.

I didn't pre-pay anything, I just asked the guy in the shop to hold one for me when they got some. And he suddenly called me when they had one. That's the advantage of buying from local shops. You get the human service.

A friend of mine runs a synthesizer shop here in downtown Minneapolis. He ordered 6 Minibrutes when they were released, and he has had two of them delivered. Just got one in on Friday, and he knew I wanted one so he sent me a text right away. I'm going in to pick it up first thing Monday after work. I can't wait!

As much as an inconvenience it is for those people wanting and waiting on the minibrute, i think its great that this thing has become arguably one of the most desired and anticipated product that has happened in a long time due to its sparseness. (at least in the synth world..) Aside from sounding fantastic and being a great bargain, have the so called unfortunate manufacturing issues and scheduling nightmares helped elevate this thing to legendary status, or was it planned to be this way in the first place, a market plan like the supply and demand of vintage synths?
