Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
I didn't get to hear it (not exactly protocol for a rep to be demo'ing another company's gear), but he gave me the run down. Said as long as they were layering bass sounds it was really something. However, once the MB went past C4, the MT just sat on the same note. That was a disappointment, so they went back to playing bass lines and away it went. Also fed the MT's output through the MB's input, which was reported to be big fun, too. Was going to try to feed the output of the computer running Spark through the MB, but too many people showed up, so we lost track of that idea while he demo'd things for other customers. Soon we'll all be running all kinds of things through the MB's filter!bhrama wrote:Please do elaborate!Blue Monster 65 wrote:Were you around when the dealer hooked a Minitaur up to it? fun times indeed! Were you able to play the MT with the ARP of the MB? I was wondering if that would be feasible, as I have a Voyager atm, and was hoping this could be done.

Do you think musicians friend will let you discount it after they get more in? I'd really wanna get ten or 15 percent off this thing but they no longer let you use coupons on it.

Dude, you don't get it. It's a CONCERTMATE. Does that word ring a bell? CONCERTMATE. And I'm going to be 16 really soon.Blue Monster 65 wrote:Who? Never heard of him! Obviously some newbie who knows nothing. He's probably about 14 years old, right? Has a Yamaha PS-thingy? Yep. I'll bet that's it.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
This is quote from Sweetwater's site:
"Sweetwater's very first shipment of Arturia's new MiniBrute analog synthesizer is in transit, and we will begin filling customer pre-orders before the end of June. This new synth is a hot seller with a frenzy of pre-orders, so don't wait to place your order with Sweetwater and reserve a spot in line for a MiniBrute of your own."
This is probably referring to the 1st batch for preorders. MF has told me mine should be shipping 6-28-12 (I preordered in early Feb.). The "connection/firmware" files have been posted on Arturia's site (as well as the manual). I may be overly optimistic, but I think these are coming soon!

OT: Sadly, I'm old enough to remember this when it happened ... and you're not too far behind me, Marc!Automatic Gainsay wrote:Dude, you don't get it. It's a CONCERTMATE. Does that word ring a bell? Kraftwerk was the first to invent dubstep.

And not a synth in sight ... sorry, kiddies!
But at least Kraftwerk are older than the two of us ... put together!
Now get back to the discussion at hand.

According to Arturia site they are in the warehouse

Although UK is a bit behind according to the distrib:

Although UK is a bit behind according to the distrib:
Hi - We're the UK distributor! We do not have a specific ETA for our Minibrutes yet - but as you can see Arturia have now shipped the first units to the US.
We're told ours will come later, but due to the slower-than-anticipated production of units we can't specify just yet when that date will be. From playing with the pre-production demo unit, I can say it's most definitely worth hanging on for though - huge thanks to all patient UK guys who've preordered...we're looking forward to shipping your synths out when they get here.
