Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
how's the supply going for these things? has anyone in the second ordering wave gotten theirs, or at least a shipment notice?

Doubt it since Arturia said the second supply wave won't arrive for awhile

You're talking about a "second wave" when the first wave hasn't showed itself in Europe yet?
And noone, not even music store owners who ordered a big batch, knows when they will arrive. Just that they're "delayed".

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
wtf was Arturia thinking getting into this game with such a hot/low price product?
some say "oh they just underestimated demand" yet if you watch the early NAMM videos the reps knew exactly what they were getting themselves into, they listed reasons for making this "many musicians see the analog stuff as holy grail, there is a huge demand for this kind of equipment, only solution buying one on second hand market which can be damaged or you have to maintain it"
they f**k everyone over, nearly all stores had received many preorders and imagine how many emails they had to deal with from frustrated customers, s**t even I cancelled my preorder. Their response to all this doesn't seem like production is ramping up, truly awful.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
yeah, I actually forgot about europe (sorry guys). for some reason I figured you'd have your own manufacturing but I guess not. but yeah, they dropped the ball, and it's becoming more and more apparent. It's not a matter of a few weeks, we're months deep in waiting with no end in sight. i had a preorder that I cancelled, but looking back it's probably not even going to make a difference as it's taking forever for anyone to get them at this point.

They will make (many) more. And they will sell well. And you'll probably eventually buy one.

That's one of those hypotheticals that nobody can answer with any accuracy.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
Serious question-- does this synth receive MIDI CC messages? If it does, isn't it possible a computer plugin could act as patch memory?

Oh I do want want one. I just can't seem to find any. They will make (many) more. And they will sell well. And you'll probably eventually buy one.
In the meantime why doesn't someone with said synth in hand put up a review?

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
One of the cool features is that the Minibrute has true analog control of all knobs, so no CC messages and no digital patch dumps. I don't see a MIDI implementation chart, but it seems only the keyboard's polyphonic note on/offs, velocity, aftertouch, pitch and mod wheel are sent via MIDI. It might recieve MIDI clock for the arp, but does not send the arp notes via MIDI. Haven't messed much with the MIDI/USB part of this. Sends out the arp via gate and pitch CV though.Kidney05 wrote:Serious question-- does this synth receive MIDI CC messages? If it does, isn't it possible a computer plugin could act as patch memory?
So the memory is analog, just like the old analog synthesizers. They give you some overlays with patches and a few blanks to make your own. Haven't noticed a printable patch sheet, but I'm sure there is one.

Overlays: That is old school.CZ Rider wrote:Kidney05 wrote:
