"Difficulty of use of the controller"

That's a feature? "This thing is impossible to use!" Maybe they did that so people won't just use it to make wobble basses.

;)

Really impressed by that....

Really impressed.

Same.

This thing is quite versatile for a single osc synth. It's interesting to see all these companies that are finally starting to develop real analog hardware. I wonder what the price point will be on this?

EDIT: $499 USD. Amazing price I think.

Not a bad price for this synth. It sounds really good and has a lot of nice features. Would be nice if it had a 2nd osc but there is still a lot to appreciate here.

Ditto, but you know, FINALLY someone is putting a multi-mode filter on a new analog mono. Aside from the SEM, it seems like people have forgotten they exist.

Is there any place to see the front panel pics up close?

Heh, tomorrow then...

Amazona.de preview: (in German, but Google-translates fairly well)

Surely this is 3 OSCs + sub osc + noise? There's a mixer panel for the waveforms...

Edit: Apparently it really does only have one VCO, but still an extra sub osc alongside it. Meaty!

I love me some MOOG, but it does seem like nearly every damn synth (that isn't modular-related) tries to copy the transistor ladder lowpass or the diode lowpass (tb-303).

Even better news is that someone over on Muff's said that Yves Usson designed the circuits for Arturia. He's well known in the DIY community and I used to have a DIY box based on his Synthacon filter (http://yusynth.net/Modular/EN/STEINERVCF/index.html). It sounded really great, so inspires confidence in the MiniBrute, for me at least.

Single oscillator but mixable simultaneous waveforms from that oscillator.
Think Arp Axxe, Octave Kitten, etc.

better pics, but why is it so hard for them just to show a straight front shot? :x

(and no, 3 waveforms does not mean 3 oscillators; it just means you can combine multiple waveforms on one oscillator)

I'm excited. The more modern analogue keyboards the better. Personally, I find the 25 keys keyboard a bit short.

Perhaps it helps a little bit.
