I know the "moog" filter one is the rare, hot one, but I don't need something with another moog filter. I'm just happy for some CV ins and outs! It will be way better than my omni!!!

I also used to have an avatar but it was insanely expensive to control it because I had all I had was a monopoly with CV and keys! (see arp avatar awesomeness on utube) It was definitely awesome, but too expensive to keep them both.
Very nice! Congratulations!

Hello Bochelli - do you know which models you own? I'm sure the three white ones are 2800, and the black on is a 2823, but what about the black and gold?
I will check that one out all my odysseys never get used they are all in storage i dont think it is a 2800 the power switch is not red.

FYI - I received my Odyssey 2810 in the mail. It has a very low serial number of 0129, yet it actually has the 4035 filter in it. I don't know if its luck of the draw, as far as which chip the maker grabbed out of the bin when building this synth, but ....yeah, even serial #129 has the 4035 in it. There has been some talk about some early 2810's not having the 4035 filter. Most sounded like speculation. I have some facts for the argument.

As far as I know, all 2810's originally came with the so-called "moog" 4035 filter. The models 2811 and 2812 also
used that filter. However, according to the service manual some of the Odyssey 2's (presumably the 2810) employed
the older style B-I oscillator/S&H/LFO board, the same board as used in the Odyssey I. The B-II board, used in most
2810 and later models, had an improved VCO design for better tracking and stability.

I have a black/gold 2800 with PPC. I'm not sure but I don't think many MK1 Odysseys had this retro fitted.

you expected less from YMO?
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

Every Oddy comes with the 4035 until you open it up, pull out the cross board thinger, disconnect the PPC, unscrew the filter board and turn it over to see the numbers on the chip to proove to your self that nobody has actually changed your regular old filter out for a rare illegal moog filter. Then take pictures of your sad face next to it as proof to me.

I'm quite certain my black and orange Odyssey has the 4035 Moog filter in it. Even says Moog on the back.

I did the restoration myself on a $350 Ebay find, back when you could still get amazing deals on synthesizers that needed work. (2004?) Image

A fun project, and later with another $76 Ebay deal for a CES 4035 filter module, replaced the 4075.Image
It did change the sound a bit, as the Odyssey with the 4035 had so much more low end rumble.

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Bought a 2811 with PPC on Tuesday night :yahoo:. It's just shipped but I now have the long, agonising wait for it to arrive :bored:

I was so bored I broke out the Oddity last night and instantly remembered why I prefer hardware

I have a 2013 that's on its way back from CMS. I've missed it dearly.
