The SAVEUP coupon just expired. However, I called and talked to GC on the phone, and there's another discount which is $90 instead of $100 that the guy let me use. Pre-ordered for $509. Yeah!

He told me there are currently two orders placed--one shipment due 2/26 (that's right!), and one that's due April 18. Mine will probably be in the April bunch, but they're trying to add to the shipment from KORG or get another one sooner.

IT'S HAPPENING.

VSE peeps: don't pay full price! (as if you didn't know)...

At this point, Korg could probably kidnap my family and burn down my house and I would be like..."hey, can I trigger the S&H with my DR-110? Really? Great...what a nice bunch of folks."

Hahaha basically yes

I'm really excited about Korg doing this, not sure which kidney to sell yet though as I'm broke at the moment. Even contemplated selling my 700s but I'd regret it, I still love old c*ap lol

I've been REALLY tempted to place a pre-order but then my usual preference for things like this is to pick it up at a physical store. I have a street address and live on a busy highway and there's just too much of a chance it could walk off if left on the doorstep. I'll just have to wait, and probably be happier in the long run. ;)

I called Thursday morning and made my preorder with musicians friend. They will honor the 15% if you call. $509 postpaid. Don't feel too bad canceling my previous preorder with nova music/Kraft, since it's not really the organization it used to be (sadly).

Let's hope they don't use the same plant as Arturia did.

I see "unconfirmed 30th april" on my regular retailer website. It's price a little bit higher than the Minibrute was.

Nah Arturia fixed all that, they trained more people and moved to a new plant, I imagine KORG have a huge factory but still there could be a shortage at first.

Okay...what kind of case is there for carrying an MS-20? What solutions have folks used in the past? It's a weird shaped beast, like the Yamaha CS series...

Accordion cases work well for the original MS-20s, so I imagine a slightly smaller accordion case would work well for the new one.

someone on Gearslutz wrote this:
I heard some information that the MS20 MINI is backordered already about 1-2 order runs.

Some of the info I got is saying that Korg didn't expect how popular the MS20 mini would be. it's exceeding their expectations, this is very good for analog nerds like us!:D

"Didn't expect how popular it would be" usually means backorders for months. Which also means most people won't get theirs in a loooong time. It is certainly NOT a good thing for analog enthusiasts.

I'd take anything posted on gearslutz with a large handful of salt.
