Mine is on the truck as we speak. Unfortunately I am at work. I will probably go home for lunch, but that is a long shot. I will probably have to pick it up tonight from the UPS warehouse.

Will the MS-20 mini work with the latest monotribe update and the proper cable?

Oh ok, I didn't officially place my order until later in April, so I suppose that makes sense.

I got mine earlier this evening. It is pretty great. I am having a lot of fun with it. I hope everyone else gets theirs soon.

If you would like to see something depressing, go over to the gearslutz thread about the MS-20 Mini and take a look at the people arguing and name-calling about the synth being noisy (which, by the way, it is).

That website at times is hilarious.
You get the same people just repeating themselves without ever trying or owning the equipment they are discussing, and without adding anything new to the discussion.
Definition of beating a dead horse!

That thread has been entertaining. Noise is good, I hope it's loaded with noise. Been itching for a noisy, dirty, gritty, filthy mono w/ some angst. Mine should be here this evening.

But they wanted analog? They do know that means 'some' noise right?

Not going to get into it here (this is starting to sound like a repetition of the other thread), but I understand how noise can be good and analog synths are dirty in good ways (that's why I bought it), but this is not a good thing. It sounds bad, and resembles a flaw in the design, not character. Read the many clips people have posted on gearslutz for more info.

Or listen to the clips, rather.

Buys cheap analogue synthesizer which is also a replica of a very old design...

Complains about slightly noisy outputs...

Monotron for 50 bucks is cheap, MS-20 Mini for 600 bucks I would not say is exactly "cheap". Maybe comparatively affordable.

They COULD fixed the noisy output...and added PWM...and two more oscillators...and a multimode filter...and redesigned the patching area. But then it wouldn't have been an MS-20 anymore, would it.

Like I said over at GS...I rolled back on the highs a bit and I am pretty happy with the result. I am not going to stress about it. I was playing with it while listening to the ball game and could not hear the noise at all. I cant imagine that it would be noticed in a mix.
