the oscillators are summed to go through each filter and the vca, so its just a stereo headphone jack so you can hear it in both ears

No panning controls, you'd need two separate VCA's for that.

Doesn't it have a seperate VCA on the patch panel? I've never used a physical Ms20, but have dabbled with the Legacy collection, so I'm not entirely sure how/if it would work.

Yeah there's a separate VCA on the panel - but how should you be able to use that for panning? You simply ain't. There's also no way (on stock models) to have separate osc outputs (i.e. in order to pan them afterwards with a mixer).

I feel like they're being coy when this thing is probably a massive success in terms of preorders already

What would you pray for though? I'd like to see a mono/poly at a really good price.

It seems logical that they would reissue the Mono/Poly next. That or the Polysix... Not sure why I don't own a Mono/Poly. One of the coolest synths ever in my opinion. I think it would make sense for them to reissue the MS-10 as well.
Comparison is the thief of joy.

I wrote an article about this on my blog... someone on reddit commented that the monopoly and polysix used those SSM chips that aren't in production anymore. But I don't see why Korg couldn't get the rights to reproduce the chips or something, or create new ones in its place. I'm confident such a big company could pull off something like that. Or at least, I'm hopeful they could.

and also this:

"Another interesting memory was when Gotthold Meyer from our German distributer (MUSIK MEYER
Corporation) told us that the MS-20 could also be used as educational equipment for teaching science, and
that we made an ultra-large MS-20 the size of a blackboard
."

Okay, where can I get one?

I've seen one on eBay a looooooong time ago. The look pretty damn cool but eh, would be hard to fit into a setup unless you mount it on a wall really close to you...

But they only made like 5 of those and they all went to schools. Wasted on shitty kids who probably thought it was as dull learning about oscillators as having math classes.

The Why Not part: 2nd hand prices on the Mono/Poly the past 5+ years have been unreasonably absurd. Repair is also a PINTA should something go wrong.
