I'm kind of perplexed by the Monotribe comparisons, all they have in common is that they look similar and they're cheap. One is a standalone analogue groovebox and the other is a hybrid synth that needs to be played via midi.

The manual says a USB power supply comes in the box.

No price yet?

The manual indicates a rather bizarre spec:

The shared EG has one knob: Decay, there are sustain (amp only) and release switches :banghead:

Using the LFO disables the arpeggiator and vice versa :help:

This is like a 303 wannabe from the turn of the century :?
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Well I'm all for odd/random ways of doing things as long as it's fun and gives different results. It would be pretty boring if all synths had the same standard interface.

As far as I'm aware the Pulse 2 is due for release this Spring (about time too). The Rocket is "cute" but I'll hold out for a while longer as the Pulse has been top of my list for... ummm... yeah, quite a while!

My only hands on experience with Waldorf is with the Blofeld kb, but I like what I've heard from their analog machines. The Pulse 2 looks great, but I'd like a kb version. The Rocket would be fine as-is, and the demo's do sound good, whatever the method employed.

Anybody find a US dealer for it yet? I think it would be a great companion to the Minibrute.

Several of the major US dealers are taking pre-orders for it already. Basically, anyone that deals with Waldorf gear.

$329 and the first week of April is what I'm told.

May have to wail 'til May for me, though - taxes are due ... :(

I like the white one best..has that whole SEM vibe. So bored of plain black instruments.

I thought the white one was a prototype - can you actually buy that one?

Would be best if it was blue ... like my MS-20 Mini.

Have no idea, I just looked at the picture..the white one does seem a bit too close to the SEM for Oberheim's liking..even the same type of knobs.
