You do know that the M500 hasn't been in production since the 1970's don't you ? It's a vintage synth :)

You can pick them up on e-bay for between £150-£300 these days.

I believe we're talking about the renders of a re-issue that's been rumoured to be on the cards. ;)

I believe it turned out it was just a rumor or hoax of some sort, right? Maybe even put out by Korg themselves.

If they were to do another reissue, there is so much more desirable legacy they could draw from.

Ah yeah maybe, probably Korg were looking into it and the renders got leaked. Might not ever get past that stage.

I'm aware some people aren't as enthusiastic as me, but i'm very fond of mine. Its very limited but has a superb MS10 like tone, classic vintage Korg and very usable. It finds its way onto everything i record, the Brass and Synthe 2 presets are SUPERB for leads and solo's. It lacks pitch bend, but the momentary portamento is very expressive.

I would be surprised if Korg brought the Micro- Preset back, people buy Analog for programmability these days. Its one of my most used Synths as it offers that classic Korg sound with no hassle.

I think a 700s reissue would be cooler than that. Always kinda liked the dual filter korg sound.

I think the Micro Preset is the last synth Korg would reissue. Hopefully a Polysix will be next.

If Korg are going to bring back another vintage synth, i think the Polysix and Monopoly would be the best candidates :)
Really glad they are bringing back the MS20, though people shouldn't expect too much of the semi-modular design.

Somewhere, someone is laughing their butt off at the fact that many people think their hoax was real. Why would Korg rerelease THAT when there's a dozen other vintage synths to choose from.

I think sometimes people invent reasons to buy old synths. A second hand Casio would give you far better value than one of these.

I'd have it in my collection as a "vintage" synth but musically it has nothing I'd recommend it for
