DX7 Disasters!
A new video in which, amongst other things, I try to make the DX7 sound quite nice and Marc Doty completely f&^%£ng loses it.

Props for the Rahsaan cameo...who did all the great video work?
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I've been learning video editing, I film it all through my MacBook's webcam then add a load of effects

Re: DX7 Disasters!
Alas, everytime Trent Reznor smashed a DX7, a kitten died somewhere.
You have a great singing voice. I like this. Marc Doty hating the DX7, the Sintendo bit..all awesome. Mapping Hurt to a DX7's feelings. Poor things got beaten up every show in the mid-90s, I wonder where they got all those disposable synths from.
The ogre, isn't that the "I AM ERROR" guy from Zelda II?

It is fun
though time consuming and everything takes 10x the time to mix down and upload lol
It is error, only in this case he's been a naughty boy.

Re: DX7 Disasters!
Yeah, it takes time. Not long ago I made a frame by frame panoramic animation out of 1397 images in premiere. My eyes were bleeding when I was done. Totally worth it, though.elmosexwhistle wrote:It is funthough time consuming and everything takes 10x the time to mix down and upload lol

Re: DX7 Disasters!
Well if a DX-7 could speak, that is EXACTLY what it would sound like. Nice work!

Genius.
I'm still having trouble getting over how much your me theme sounds, in important ways, like something I would do.

Re: DX7 Disasters!
I think Reznor hates the DX7 as much you do, Marc, seeing how many he's smashed on stage during the earlier years.
Nowadays he has $30,000 modular synths up there, can't really smash those.

Re: DX7 Disasters!
I heard he bought this fancy modular from a boutique supplier, and they had to delay everybody else's orders in order to finish it for him, and then he poured water over it
I understand he was probably off his face or making some angst-ridden artistic statement in doing these sort of acts, including DX7 smashing, and it does look pretty captivating up on stage when he does it, but I don't really condone the smashing of instruments, especially when there are so many poor struggling musicians out there. I find the Music itself gives me enough of an outlet for aggression.
Though I'm sure he's a nice guy and there'd be plenty for us to talk about and nobody will ever agree with all of your actions anyway
And Marc, you're just a portamento w***e, so i made sure i used plenty
