10th Anniversary Minimoog Voyager Gift

Post by Reginator » Tue Jun 04, 2013 4:48 pm

Well,.. while I was lusting over a "would be" poly synth in another thread, Moog sent out emails to Voyager owners offering a free 'Brass Cutoff Knob' just for being registered users.

All I have to say is: Dear Moog, you have my respect. :thumbleft:

If you buy 13 Minimoog Voyagers, you will get enough brass knobs to cover an entire MMV in them!

Sorry to hear about the t-shirt, but I think the knob is meant to inspire. I can almost feel the magic happening and it hasn't even shipped yet. :)

Too bad I sold mine 4 years ago.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

Now you can finally polish your knob while playing a Minimoog

I'm waiting for a synth that has only one control (guess which one).

Now if only Moog had more ways to modulate that lovely filter... :beg:
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

This is going to be a rare factoid some years in the future.
Someone is going to ask about a snapshot with this knob in place.
And someone on VSE is going to get a no-prize for dropping knowledge.

And then....

And then ...

someone is going to eBay a VERY RARE Voyager with special Gold-plated Filter (as evidenced by the knob) and claim that the Gold-plated Voy sounds better, phatter, to be specific.

Wicked, it's like the synth equivalent of a gold tooth. Very useful for producing REAL TRAP MUZIK.

Of all people to be taking a swipe at another genre.
It does start a good VSE image thread where we come up with the kind of custom knob each style of music warrants.
For dubstep....it's a.....

Who's going to say none, the knob is the guy making the music?
