Hypersynth Xenophone

Post by Solderman » Fri Oct 18, 2013 1:00 am

Yes yes, just another 3 oscillator monosynth to flood the already saturated market.
http://www.hypersynth.com/xenophone.html

Looks like it fits somewhere between the Mono-Evolver and the MFB Dominion. All discrete(likely SMT) synthesis signal path is good. I like the extra effects and subs/ringmod per oscillator. Could be a fun little desktop mono.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

This definitely looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to the demos.

Looks nice but got to have some unique functions/features to sell better in current market.

My Latin and Greek are virtually non-existant, but presumably it's Strange Sound from xenos meaning foreign or strange and phone meaning sound.

^ Yes, of course.

The problem I have is that it is phonetically really really close to "xenophobe".

Without having even heard it ?
After a quick browse through the key features & spec, I think it has a lot of potential to be a goodie.

Marc, get hold of one ASAP and give us a Youtube demo please ;)

I'm feeling xenophonic towards this synth.

The developer is sending one of these out to me for programming shortly, he mentioned yesterday that the first few units have shipped. I'll let you guys know more when I have it on my desk.
