I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Wow, when i saw the thread's title i thought it was probably a polysynth. But after reading some of the quotes about it being ''small'' and such i think it's gonna be another, problaby 2 osc, monosynth. I have the Minibrute and i'm having a blast probably used for 2 thousand hours already, but i really like to fool myself thinking i can play keys with two hands, hence being super stoked about having a poly to go with the Brute.

It may be a super cool product, but i think there's enough monos in the market already, if IT really turn out to be a monosynth.

Also, Adrian Utley's quote may give some clue about it. According to him, ''i loved the original, and IT'S get that character...''. So it's probably based on another synth, which...

I'd be with you but one quote on that page:
For me, a Synthesizer that has no presets is an adventure every time. IT is a recipe for audio joy. IT soon becomes a real electronic instrument, that develops with your knowledge and expertise
Bummer

Hmm what weird small synth would they recreate? Octave kitten? Or scaled down cat? They already have the wave form blending down.
My modular so far: Q104, Q106, Q107, Q108, Q109 x2 , Q116, Q118, Q127 w/Q140, Q130, STG Wave Folder, playing with Moog Voyager, VX-351, CP-251, MF-104M (x2 STEREO!)

If it's a desktop module I'm going to be all over this.
The way they mention it's size anyone think that arturia might be making something to outshine the volcas?

A desk top expander module would be fantastic. From the blurred pic on website looks like it has mini keys, maybe has a volca/monotribe style sequencer

”I really love the sound of the original , and IT's got that character and can be even wilder. You can get all kinds of crazy and musical interactions going on with other analog gear and drum machines. Combine the two together and you're rocking…”

My guess based on that is a semi modular Minibrute... ala... Future Retro XS and MS-20 -ish.

...or, a small 1 voice expander with keyboard and some semi-modular features to interact with the MB and other gear, but could also stand alone though with less features.

Seriously, though, I'm intrigued. I like what I've heard from the Minibrute and I've been considering getting one, so I'll be interested to see what they're announcing here.
