Also I was roughly agreeing with you but please do carry on with the pointless arguing ;)
I realize that. I was just trying to inject a little levity into this thread.

Ugh. I'm kind of tired of people complaining about people discussing opposing views.

Forums are FOR discussion. If everyone agrees on everything, forums are POINTLESS. They are specifically FOR discussion. If you don't like people disagreeing, or people making opposing viewpoints... YOU are the problem. People feel differently about things, and discussing opposing views helps people come to general understanding. "Agree to disagree" and "everything is valid" are the bullshit.

Yes but what is the point in arguing about something as subjective as musical taste? We are all different and like different things.

Sure arguing can be useful as long as it is constructive or persuasive, but those are two things I haven't seen a lot of in this thread. What I have seen however is people throwing around insults and getting pissed off, which annoyingly is happening a lot round here lately. :?

This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

^ This, this, this. What's the point in having a forum at all if the only thing you're supposed to do there is agree with everyone else?

That was my point before. I'm sure there is a lot of stuff I like that many of you would think is s**t.

This idea that we can't diss a musician, a technique, a performance, a synth, or whatever, is what's really s**t.

It's the equivalent of Every kid gets a trophy.
