I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: New Elektron Machine
I guess the actual thread is no longer needed because everyone here already realises how it will go as soon as something new gets announced/hinted at.phesago wrote:How the f**k is no one talking about this here yet?
Step 1: Wildly unrealistic speculation, eg: "It's a Moog analogue drum machine" "It's a $500 Jupiter 8" "It's something they already make, but at half the price"
Step 2: Bitter disappointment as the reality of the new product emerges, eg: "It's a groundbreaking new concept but you actually have to pay for all the R&D that went into it" "It would be perfect if it had one more LFO/VCO/Envelope but it's pointless without it" "They recreated my dream vintage synth but they didn't add MIDI/USB/Whatever"
Step 3: Silence once it's actually released because people would rather talk about a new synth than actually make music with one.

Re: New Elektron Machine
Maybe nobody's talking about it because there's no actual information other than the fact that it apparently exists?
Goddamn hype-obsessed marketing industry. Just tell me what the h**l it is you want me to know about already!

Re: New Elektron Machine
Keyboard controller that makes the A4 poly and will link all machines to a central brain.
Re: New Elektron Machine
I for one, am excited. I've already decided to pick up both the A4 and the Octatrack, though, so a part of me kinda hopes this new machine isn't equally awesome

Re: New Elektron Machine
My guess:
2 voice analog with keyboard and sequencer (modernized SEM two voice)
Lowest end offering from Elektron to get the kiddies hooked. They raised their prices last month or so. I bet it was, partially, so they could slip this one in below.

Re: New Elektron Machine
Someone said maybe keyboard Analog 4... think it was on elektron users new forum [can't recall new name for it - Eheads?
]. Looking forward to seeing what they are going to do for sure. Whatever it turns out to be...

Re: New Elektron Machine
well if we are in pure speculation mode, a keyboard A4 would be ridiculous.
I still regret not picking up the Keyboard MnM when I've had the chances over the years.

Re: New Elektron Machine
by looking at that logo it seems to be a keyboard.
Re: New Elektron Machine
Either mono or MD mark III, probably. Maybe some new machines in there, maybe even an analogue bitty [BD, SD, HH?] and likely in octaBlack.

Re: New Elektron Machine
Didnt know anything about it until seeing this thread, but I would love to know more. Elektron makes some of the best modern equipment out there right now, period.
