Price and details to come out on the AK on Tuesday. Known & rumored so far:
CV outs can be configured to audio outs so each track can have an individual out (not sure about effects routing or if the feature will be included in the A4)

+Drive 128 snapshots and 4000 or so sounds storable. The +drive is in the current A4, it will be unlocked with the new OS. Rumored sounds can be key assigned to create drum maps.

Polymode in the AK and will be in the new A4 OS.

No link option is planned. NOT expandable to an 8 voice.

Elektron also used the evening to announce they will be coming out with a band new machine in the near future. It was on display at the AK launch in a padlocked frosted box.

Which might explain the 10% sale I mentioned earlier.

WHATS IN THE BOX??!?!?!?!?

I hope its a severed head.

But for real, i hope its something sweet. Also, the +drive and poly mode situation with the a4 makes me one happy f**k. Now, if they only could sequence 4 tracks of CV along with the 4 normal tracks... Hopefully the envelope bug is fixed in the new OS as well.

Kind of stoked honestly. More baout the OS updates. Not too mention there will be a new nifty elektron box.

Police car bubble lights. In an effort to keep their prices down Elektron plans to diversify into making warning equipment for Swedish police cars.

I think this looks like a great machine, but what's the street price going to be? If you take the Analog Four at $1,300 plus the +drive already installed (which itself is $400), keyboard, etc., this has got to be in the $2,000+ range. Which, of course, puts you into Prophet '08 territory for a machine that, in many ways, is probably inferior to the P08.

If the A-Keys is priced in that range, it will undoubtedly turn off a lot of buyers.

Didn't someone say that the +Drive is already present in the A4 but will be "unlocked" with a new OS?

The larger chassis and adding a keyboard shouldn't drive the price up more than $300. I'm hoping/thinking street price will be $1300-$1500 with a MSRP at $1500 - $1800.

Guess we'll see in less than 24 hours, right?

Based on your reasoning, which is probably sound, I'm going to say -- and this is wildly optimistic -- that street will be $1599. Fingers crossed.

That would be great if it was that price, fingers crossed we don't get the typical Aussie pricing

Not what I would have chosen as demo sounds. I'll reserve my judgement until some other weirdos get their paws on it.
