Is it just me or does the UI remind anyone else of an ESQ-1?

I noticed that too. It looks great. I'm not sure why there aren't more synths with that nice "soft button" UI.Ashe37 wrote:Is it just me or does the UI remind anyone else of an ESQ-1?

Wuz wondering myself about that very thing.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: DSI Prophet 12 Module
Exactly. Its the Esq1 + Blofeld. That's absolutely the best way to make editing fun, with very little hardware.

It's also almost exactly like the Tempest interface minus the dedicated knobs. On the Tempest the dedicated knobs control the main parameters but then the soft ones control everything, including the parameters which the dedicates knobs control.Jabberwalky wrote:Exactly. Re: DSI Prophet 12 Module
He'd have lost his marbles if he went out in public and said "yeah this new one is OK, but the Prophet-5 is still the best I ever made"

Re: DSI Prophet 12 Module
Yeah, it's a lot like when he did the Mopho keyboard promo video...he said, "People have been asking me for the last 30 years when the new Pro-One might come out. Is this it? I don't know. I think this runs circles around the Pro-One but you can decide for yourselves."fh991586 wrote:What a surprise, according to Dave, this is his favorite Prophet yet!

Re: DSI Prophet 12 Module
Just as I thought, he stole the esq\sq design from Ensoniq, added a couple of features and put the cosmic price tag. Well done Dave.
