Man, what the h**l... Who even uses keytars? Anyone? No? Good, lets keep it that way!

I'd use a keytar. Just not a VA one. What we really need is an analog keytar with aftertouch, for ultimate expressive noodling capability.

When we as keyboardists use keytars it makes guitarists think we want to be like them. It gives them bigger heads than they need, and makes us seem like imitators instead of a different species of musician entirely.

Keytars are the saddest thing that ever happened to keyed instruments. I had more to type on the subject but I'm having difficulty breathing due to the intense laughter caused by reading that there's somewhere out there who has too much pride to use a VA instrument, it has to be analogue, but they would shame themselves by strapping on the deformed phallic symbol of the keytar. Actually I guess it makes sense, both the 'real analogue' thing and the keytar are compensating for other deficiencies. ;)

Yup. I know too many guitar players that fit this description.

Hey, sometimes a guy just wants to get up and rock out, y'know?

Anyway, you can't help but inflate a guitarist's ego - that's just guitarists for you - so there's no point in worrying about it.

That looks pretty cool, would be great to get some desktop analog filtering with plugins and such :)

Are the main announcements over? Am I missing something? Seems like a weak NAMM. Maybe Musikmesse will be better.

I'm counting:
MS-20 Kit
Sub 37
Minitheremin
Analog Rytm
Roland Aira (still not sure what this is)
And that Waldorf thing?
