Identifying Eu Systems Modular Synthesizer
I found this old modular synthesizer and have no idea what it is or how to obtain the parts necessary to bring it back to life. Has anyone heard of Eu Systems before? My guess is its probably 30-40 years old. Spoke with Roger over at Synthesizers.com and he says he has never seen anything like it before and it must be some DIY project. Roger and I are thinking of doing a trade since I don't know what to do but before I went ahead with the deal I wanted to check here to see what you all thought of "Big Bertha". 4 voice with all the bells and whistles.

i feel like you shouldnt trade it away yet. Figure out what to do with it first. Possibly pay rodger at .com to analyze/fix the issues?

That's not a factory assembled E-mu Modular. They looked like this with silver panels -

What it is is someone's home-made modular using E-mu sub-modules... I have a home-made standalone module using one of their filter sub-modules -

Re: Identifying Eu Systems Modular Synthesizer
Eμ Systems is E-mu Systems if you translate the Greek letter.

There's mention of an 'Eu Oscillator 2200' on page 19 of Allen Strange's Electronic Music: Systems, Techniques and Controls.
The index lists them as: Eu Instruments, 417 Broadway, Santa Cruz, Calif., 95060

That's some find! Shame the keyboard isn't with it though- that's the part that generates CV in the right way to play it polyphonically.
