You still paid more than half the market price (when it really sells), so it's not a such great deal. Ok, but not great.
Available for sale:
-Chamber of Sounds Jupiter III (mk1) & Jupiter T (mk1)
-The Complete DX7- Howard Massey (with original enclosed sounds on soft disks)

He got what he wanted for less than he might otherwise have paid for it, and he's happy about it. I'm not sure why there needs to be some kind of Official Seal of Good Deal here.

am i detecting a slight element of something along the lines of... "synth bargain pissing contest", or maybe its just me?

I'm so good at finding bargains that people pay me money to take their analog synths.

@Solderman : There are 3000+ Jupiter 8 produced, not 2000.

Mmmkay. Not nearly enough for the demand, anyhow. Wonder how many of those still in existence are now in need of that long, arduous calibration?

I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

There always seem to be a few for sale if one is willing to pay market rates. The prophet stuff T8,p10, P5 seems a bit scarcer. If you have tech chops you've got better odds when you risk a bargain price purchase. RJ clearly has those chops; I'm sure his Jup will be up to snuff in no time
I've never had either of my Jups calibrated; I wonder how much of a difference it would be. Anybody have experience with a jup8 they thought sounded fine but calibrated it anyway and found a huge difference?
