I think rumors would have started flying as soon as Korg trademarked the name Korg Odyssey.

Has anyone got a rough idea how much this is going to cost?

No, but people are guessing (with nothing to base it on) at about US$1200.

"Wishful thinking" does not count?

You can't really compare it with the old odyssey's prices either, since Korg will be using modern components that are alot cheaper than the old stuff was. Who knows.

I'm thinking it'll be closer to the MS-20 Mini in price, especially if it's also made in China. Really comes down to that more than anything, if it's made in Japan I could see it being $1,000+.

Sliders cost more than pots. I think it will be more. Still no word on if it's full size though. So it's up in the air.

Rumour has it that there will also be a pot version for less $$ but it will only be available in Colorado and Washinton state.

Sliders or potentiometers isn't really going to swing cost much one way or the other, just depends on the quality of the components. I'd like for it to be full-size, but the 86% MS-20 mini size wouldn't be a deal breaker either. My KX5 has actual mini-keys and after about an hour of playing around it was second nature.

blaming the sliders for a $1200 price tag instead of the MS-20 Mini's $600 is like saying "yeah, my car would have been $20,000 but I got leather so it was $40,000."

So I don't agree with that nonsense. The price tag will be $800 max.

You guys don't seem to realise that an Oddy isn't an MS-20. They'll have different prices because they're different.
