I've got two retailers telling me that Korg told them (on the day of the NAMM show) it would be available immediately after NAMM, but that Rich guy in the videos keeps saying "sometime in March or April". :?:

I wouldn't doubt that Korg is saying one thing to retailers and another on the videos. Remember that Korg MS20M kit bundled with the SQ-1 sequencer? Well, one retailer has them in stock NOW. Mine should arrive next week. So don't be surprised if your Odyssey preorder shows up early. ;)

As much as I love my analogues, I couldn't live without the Kronos - Korg are still way ahead of the competition. ;)

...And it's a newer smaller version, AND it's not even the 88 key!
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

just got to wait for the re issue POLY 61 on my list....maybe next year.

I just hope the oddy sells well enough for Korg to give it another go with a poly.

I don't really want to go off topic, but as you asked...

I think many people still see it as a boring Rompler - But it has stunningly sampled pianos, Virtual modeled EP's & Strings (not the orchestral type - you can define a string type, how it's struck, pickup placement etc), a very comprehensive Modular DX engine (yup, you read that right - you can patch your own algorithms) with filters, LFOs, amps etc, a VA Poly MS-20, a VA Poly 6, CX3 Hammond Clone, a pretty amazing (for digital) AL-1 VA synth... Oh, and a rompler :)

It's a programmers dream.

The recent free V3 OS update brings the previous two versions of the Kronos up to the same spec as the new one.

Nice. INHALT is also a forum member here (at least one member). He was also demonstrating the P6 for Sequential, I believe.

hello from INHALT ;-0

already contacting Korg regarding the Odyssey ... it sounded so good and was a lot of fun to play. and yes ... the prophet 6 ... we're taking two for the European tour in september. not sure when voicing for factory bank patches begins but will be there ... should have seen the grin on my face playing it for the first time in their office ... holy s**t is it a seriously good synth. and allows to go much further than the P5 but maintaining that level of audio integrity ...

That's really all the endorsement I need.
