That was a Korg product, too, wasn't it?

Yup. You'd think they'd have learned a lesson from that.

The lesson I learned from the Minibrute incident was to never anticipate and sit around waiting for a synth to come out. Just cause you lots of worry and troubles your mind needlessly. Now I'll just try it in a store when it comes out and don't bother with it.

The pink is a power light I am assuming.

Yep, I basically just waited around until October for the Ms20, and bought one immediately.

And youtube's "English Captions" is the biggest acid trip you've ever taken. Just random garble that doesn't even resemble sentences. A fun distraction though.

Of course.

Yes, that's pretty funny, I finally gave up because it was so distracting and turned it off.
Great demo though. I think it sounds great, and can't wait to get my hands on it.

I watched a bunch of demo videos of this thing this morning and I've gotta say it sounds great! If it had a full-sized keyboard, was a little bit cheaper over here (AU$1700 RRP) and I didn't have the nagging feeling that Arturia are going to come out with a two osc, two filter, two LFO, three envelope MaxiBrute with a three octave keyboard and patching matrix sometime soon I'd be all over this. I feel like a fool for wishing for a synth that might not come to pass but I just can't help myself. Maybe I'll just have to buy a second Minibrute and hack them together myself.

I was kinda considering cancelling my preorder and just picking one up later, but after watching these videos I've got my hankering back. They better have it by the start of April, though.

Stab, you can always pick up a new used one on ebay once these are in full production and available to all.
I have a feeling a lot of people are caught up in the hype, but don't have a full understanding of what the Odyssey is about. And once they've used it for awhile will be putting them up on ebay.
So, you should be able to get a good price on what is essentially a new synth.
But I guess it depends on how long you'll hold out for Arturia. :)

CJ, did you preorder a limited edition Odyssey?

I preordered with Sweetwater, so I had the option for a white-face Kodyssey, but I actually chose to go with the black-and-orange instead.

First you complain that you can't buy modern Odyssey, then you complain that the "wrong" type of people will buy them. Kind of ironic.
