This is basically a Monotribe with an additional voice, a better sequencer, and MIDI. And I like it!

For two bills, though, you can't go wrong. Right?

Just saw it's got a trigger out to clock modular stuff as well, I reckon it gonna have to sound pretty bad for me to not want to get one.

I make mention of the AIRA because this is what people wanted out of Roland when they talked about re-releasing their old stuff. Not sure why I have to spell that out.
MU Modular (Moog, Dotcom, STG, Analog Systems, and Moon modules), MS20 (x2), Microbrute, Electribes (EA-1, EMX), microKorg, AN1x, Nord Lead 2x, Blofeld, Alpha Juno 2, DX7, JX8P, Poly 61 (x2), Split 8, TR-505, Monotron Delay, Ace Tone FR-3, Paia Fatman

Trigger out! f**k yes.. Triggering the Poly61 arps, and I can free up my midi2cv8 for other things. No mention of of midi implementation yet (i.e. knob cc)

Is the trigger out programmable or a clock?

yes.. yes it does... and of course I just bought a used APC40 last week.

but that's ok. the mk2 is going to cost more than twice what I just paid and although the layout of the redesign looks great, having Push decreases its value significantly ...although they would be a nice looking pair.

assume what you would like, but the "people" you are referring to doesn't include me and I'm certain that it also doesn't include many others. if I wanted an analog TR-808/909 or TB-303 reissue/clone I'd much rather buy one of the many boutique offerings from companies that are dedicated to that ethos and let Roland be Roland and continue building upon their past while moving forward. a reissue is the last thing that I ever want to see from them.

Okay, and that's all well and lovely that you want what you want, but there are many people that DO want to see Roland re-issue their old gear including myself. Many of us were excited to see Roland get back into the analog game, even if it was starting with a simple re-issue. Again, not sure why I have to explain such things.

My only hesitation on any of their (Akai) new gear is that they've had a horrendous record of delivery on new products the past few years. I hope they've rectified that situation and have these ready for market soon.
Muhahahahahahahahaha!

So if it shows up late you won't buy one?
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
