Depends on the music I feel like making. For analog style tracks >>>

Oberheim Ob8 (you guys seems to think it's really nice, never tried one)
SCI Pro-One (I know this one well)

KORG OASYS - Poly
Studio Electronics C.O.D.E. - Mono

I could crank out a dozen albums or so with that duo.

Assuming I'd be "allowed" to have a computer for sequencing and other stuff:
Poly: V-Synth
Mono: Waldorf Pulse 2 (although it has a paraphonic mode)

I've been lucky to pick up a SC Pro-1 and a Synthex rather cheap, they are a good combo I think.

But I would probably choose a used Voyager and a Oberheim Xpander if I should spend 5000 today

I almost said this, but opted for fancy sequencer nonsense instead.

I have less than $2000 invested in all the stuff I have now. makes $5000 seem like a lot, although I know it would be easy enough.

The Dark Side speaks for a Waldorf Q+ and a Mono Evolver.
The Pragmatic Side speaks for a maxed Korg Kronos and a Voyager (still fits the bill?).

I don't like the drums, but the drums like me!

PolyEvolver and either a Moog Voyager or MFB Dominion 1, depending on how good the MFB is gonna be.
