I just now caught that. Sorta like cover your mouth and find the best tasting cake. :P

The Poly Evolver has a lot of lights. Somehow forgot about the Voyager. As long as it's not on a dark stage and they're all red it's all good. My eyes and red don't get along.

Yeah, if you're into the future tech look (and I am), it's pretty compelling. I haven't been able to get a very good sense of the actual sound and vibe of the Sys1 yet, but the video - damn, just like riding the old 'e train' and out to hit the floor - clubbin' - (back in the day)

watching the individual vco lights counting out the beat of an arp is cool on the mono/poly,
but my favorite is to sit in the dark with the polysix and watch the internal voice LEDs shine out from under the control panel onto the keys!

I'd say they would all look equally cool with my eyes closed.

Ooh, the Prophet 8 and 12 with the voice indicators is pretty nifty.

+1 on the Akai AX-80. It reminds me of this old VCR from my childhood. I'd get one if it weren't so damned heavy.

I've never tried that. I didn't think they'd be powerful enough.

+1

Try sitting in the dark and sending it program changes over MIDI (or a trigger to the patch shift CV input)... 8-)

Maybe my Korg M3? Not that it flashes with lights, but the whole package just makes it so beautiful, and the lights play a part in that.
Although not a synth, the Kaoss Pad Quad is the coolest looking device in my studio, light-wise.

Every synth should have an oversized character display like the one on Kawai/Teisco SX-240.

Yamaha's TX816 has some interesting modes where the TF1's red LEDs display blink, like the battery charge...
Considering parting away from:
-Roland TR707
-DSI Mopho

The Sync 2 front panel is nothing but lights. There is a disc format program, when the Sync 2 boots up the panel lights all blink in a semi random pattern.

Always like the 60's incandescent colored lighted switches on the old Moogs. Those vintage lights somehow seem warmer than the newer LED's.

Alesis Andromeda. I've seen pictures of the Hartmann Neuron lights that look great. I love the way my kaoss quad looks. The new Aira stuff looks right at home in a disco for sure.
