MY KORG POLY 61 IS BROKE AND I'M SAD.

When a key is pressed, it plays the tone of the patch, but highly oscillated and glitchy. Could this be the symptom of a nearly dead battery? Have not serviced this synth since buying it used nearly 8 years ago. Worked perfectly a couple weeks ago.

I'd open it up and make sure the battery hasn't exploded, if it still looks ok you can check out the voltage with a multi-meter to determine if it needs replaced or not.

Yep. As far as I can tell. The p61 battery issue is as common as it is on the poly6.
