SysEx with Waldorf Wave 3.V

Post by madtheory » Mon May 19, 2014 9:22 am

I have some single programs from the Mac OS9 version of Wave 2.V VST I try to load them into 3.V and it appears to do it, but the programs don't come up in the list. I also tried importing into OSX 2.V, AU and VST versions, and the files appear greyed out (so it doesn't recognise them as single programs).

Am I doing something wrong?

Could be that the mac and pc file formats are slightly different so that they're not compatible. Sounds weird, but who knows.

one of the bug fixes a while back was supposed to address the interchange of presets between pc and mac.
IIRC, the trick is to just put the old presets files in the same folder as the factory presets?
I could be confusing it though. And to be fair I'm on the Waldorf Edition, which is similar but not the same as the PPG 3v.

Perhaps it wasn't clear- this is entirely on Mac, no PC involved.

Good to know about the folder, will try that thanks :)
