Re: DSI speculation
Nah - Dave went to Moogfest and built a Werkstatt. He's just showing off the mods he's learned for it.
And he painted it yellow.

Re: DSI speculation
I thought the Prophet 12 did not have a sequencer, just an arpeggiator. It's the Poly Evolver that had a sequencer.sentientprogram wrote:Don't get me wrong, I love that DSI added a "sequencer" to the Prophet 12 later on, but it's quite, I dunno, clunky. I'd like to see a mono based on the Prophet 12, with a Microbrute style sequencer that has ties and accents. Lose the touch pads but keep their implementation.

Re: DSI speculation
Latest firmware update provided a sequencer.

A sequencer and an arpeggiator? I must get my hands on a Prophet 12 module.

Re: DSI speculation
I demand a poly analog with onboard multitrack sequencer!
There´s literally no difference between sound design and notes sequencing on the Tempest. I hope they keep evolving this concept on their future releases. Sequencing should not be seen as a separated section, or an extra feature, but a must on poly synths.

I'm the opposite. I don't care about onboard sequencers. I have dedicated more complex outboard sequencers

Re: DSI speculation
that looks a whole lot like a Pro one or P5. Hard to see with all that artifacting.
I was thinking P5 except there is not that strip of wood on the top that P 5's had.

Re: DSI speculation
agreed, I will never buy a yellow synth. It is just such an obnoxious color to me. Though in it's own way a pile of black and grey electronic boxes is kind of obnoxious too.implant wrote:

I think we need more white and aluminum/stainless steel boxes.

Re: DSI speculation
At least four voices with at least a 20 step ARP (microkorg style) perhaps.

Re: DSI speculation
Bit off topic but I am confused as to what the difference is between the mopho keyboards? Is this se just more octave version key bed of the yellow one?calaverasgrande wrote:agreed, I will never buy a yellow synth. It is just such an obnoxious color to me. On topic: when is the announcement due then?

Re: DSI speculation
The Mopho SE is an updated version of the Mopho which is monophonic. The Mopho X4 is is a four voice version, or, if you like, a keyboard version of the Tetra without the multitambrality.
