"Post-Moog"? What, did Doty get fired or something?griffin avid wrote:Did h**l just freeze over?

No, this is just Marc post-Moog, where is able to evaluate synths without everything being a comparison...to a certain unnamed synth .....by an unnamed company...unless I named it already...

Hmmm..I wonder if I can pretend to have a youtube channel and just contact DSI and get a review model sent to me..and it happened to get "lost" in the mail on the way back.

Re: DSI PRO 2
Looks and sounds great. I still have to hold out for my pre-ordered Moog Sub 37, but this Pro 2 will be next for me. And it seems it will go great with the forthcoming Dave Smith Modulars...
You did all notice that in the video right?

Unfortunately, you sign a form and give them a way to charge you in case you don't return it in the specified time.
Pus You are responsible for EVERYTHING.
So, I'm sure they would LOVE for you to lose it in the mail.
They would say no problem and charge your card in the next 20 mins.
Not to throw serious in an non-serious comment, but it might shed some light for another reader...

the audio demo sounded so awesome. it has things none of my other synths have.
I'm getting a Prophet 12 next month so I'll probably opt for the MFB myself.
the Moog seems great but the MFB is more of an outlander which I like.
Pro2 is awful tempting tho

This is kind of cray-cray. 4 cv outs, 4 cv ins, one gate, USB and MIDI in out and thru.

This is a sexy looking and sounding mono. BTW, IMO, the P12 and now this Pro2 look the best out of all of Dave's offerings. Excited to try one out!

Re: DSI PRO 2
No, Dave's right... this is paraphonic. I only watched the video once, though... if he said it wasn't polyphonic, then there would be a problem.griffin avid wrote:If he bypasses the chance to chime in or correct Dave's use of para-phonic in the next 2 pages, then he is definitely on his death bed.

Polyphony has nothing to do with articulation, people. This synth is as polyphonic as the vari-mode Polymoog, the ARP Omni, the Solina, and a host of others.

You're insane, Bitexion. Moog is the only company that DOESN'T send me review copies when I ask for them.Bitexion wrote:I doubt Marc will get a review copy sent to him..he only gets those with the Moogs.
