I tried to play the entire Rendezvous Pt 2 by Jean-Michel Jarre on my technics organ for years ^^

Of course it didn't have the right sounds, but it had strings, two keyboards, a "synthesizer" PCM sound, and bass pedals. I could get pretty close except for the laserharp part.

The Final Fantasy Prelude, on a Korg X5 ROMpler.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

J.S. Bach, Goldberg Aria, Korg MS2000, if you've seen silence of the lambs you've heard it... I didn't know that at the time though, I just thought it was pretty.

I used to play a shitload of organ music when I was a kid, I was kind of a prodigy child so my parents bought me this monstrous technics organ for my 11th birthday. And I went to weekly organ courses with a very good teacher for a couple years.

But that is pretty different from playing a piano or synthesizer ofc. I had no idea about how to program a synth until after 2000 when I bought my Ion.

Also had abt a 10 year hiatus where i didn't play any instruments at all, so I lost alot of the motor skills in my fingers.
My first rompler synth was a Roland RS-5, and it used velocity on most patches and I couldn't play it for s**t until I figured how to turn off the velocity controls :D everything would just sound muted.

:D hehe, yeah, I played that on guitar first time I picked one up.

First song on first synth?? My god, so bloody long ago.

First synth was a Juno 6, but first song ... ? Probably tried something like Vangelis's "To The Unknown Man".
I recall borrowing my cousin's delay pedal a few months later and then trying Jarre's "Arpeggiator"

I got a monotribe a couple years ago as an afterthought. First thing I plugged into it was Suicide's "Ghost Rider."

I'm glad you did. I want to learn it. Probably start when I get home, if I don't forget.
