(creepy voice) Let's play a game...

Post by thefonz003 » Mon Sep 01, 2014 4:04 am

Yes, I know I like to play games. What can I say? I'm a fun guy.

I'm Jigsaw. I've got every well-known living synth player trapped in a warehouse, and you are trying to free them. There are multiple solutions, but none end with every musician leaving the building alive. In short (this is not as elaborate as actual Jigsaw scenarios, but how many movies have there been now?), you are to kill one to set the others free. Pianists who are really only synth players because pianos are hard to take on tour don't count. And...go!

Code: Select all

if (HAS_USED_KEYTAR == TRUE)
{
kill;
}
else
{
live;
}

Much simpler algorithm than in an FM synth, but it works.

When nerds attack nerds! :D

I'd go with Wendy Carlos. I mean, she's getting older and hasn't been releasing much music anyhow, right?

I see Yanni has already been nominated, so I'd like to take the opportunity to throw Kitaro on the pyre.

I would save Yanni. Vangelis gets the axe. Although, it's a tough choice betwixt vangelis and Justin Rudess... I guess I could always pit them against each other in a death match to see who would emerge victorious to win his freedom.
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

Let's make it interesting/democratic.

Submit your nominations in this thread then in a day or so I'll make a poll and people can vote on who lives and who dies. I'll do it in four rounds, first 16, then 8, then 4 and then a final death match to see who makes it out alive.

So far we have:

Yanni
Jordan Rudess
Wendy Carlos
Kitaro
Vangelis

I'm gonna add Deadmaufive for hogging all the Modcan and Thomas Dolby, mainly for that video of him miming with a 606.

I'd put Rudess and Rick Wakeman in a room and have them fight til death. They're both old Wizards so it should be fun to watch. Kind of like Gandalf and Saruman going at it.

Hi,

I'm adding Vince Clarke and Michael Cretu to the list :twisted: .

I could live in a world without Rudess.

I almost went with Deadmouse5, but then I reasoned chances were high that he didn't count (Which raises the question, does skrillex count?). Also, should we award them weapons to even things out in situations where it would otherwise be unfair? Maybe give Rudess a toothpick, Wendy Carlos gets a shoe lace, yanni gets a deck of cards, kitaro gets a cocktail sword/umbrella combo, and vangeis a dry erase marker, or something like that?

Wakeman FTW easily. He's got the size advantage, and he's a lot spunkier. I would arm him with fabreeze.
