In the video above, the Korg guy says the Electribe should be out in December. In a post elsewhere, Mistabishi says the sampler is scheduled for March.

I wonder if that's UK release dates. Sweetwater is still "expecting" a November time frame for the electribe.

First shipments go to Germany
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Apparently tomorrow is the release date in Japan for the Electribe, according to
this seller.

Moog Audio has a pre-order link up for both the Electribe and the Electribe sampler. Both list at $499.99 Canadian.

I quit my preorder .... No pattern chain or song mode makes it very iffy for me , but after they are out I'll see how the live record mode works I guess .
Some wish to leave their mark ... I want to leave a scar .

agreed, I kind of lost interest in my Volcas over that.
Even just a simple chain mode like the X0Xbox has would be enough.

Well idk yet . It might be just fine , but the lack of demo on how it works was enough for me . I'm still keeping an eye on it ( or the sampler version as I was thinking about an mpx16 ) , but I am wanting this as a hardware sequencer / heart of my rig .... Though it may just not be and that's not it's advertised concept anyhow .
We will see I guess .

Umm...

So, the Sample is shipping now? Or is this just to generate more sales?

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VolcaSample

From the sweetwater page:

"Now Shipping!
Yes, it's true! We have begun receiving initial shipments of Korg's new Volca Sample, and we are shipping as many pre-orders as we can. If you're interested in owning this latest addition to the Korg Volca line, we highly recommend placing a pre-order with Sweetwater as early as possible - that way we'll be able to ship your Volca Sample from the earliest possible shipment."

EDIT: Also noticed something I didn't before (sorry if someone already pointed it out): there is song creation via pattern chaining in this one. Yay! Now...if only they had done that on the other Volcas...

or the new Electribe :banghead:

Speaking of which, here's a decent video running down the details of the Electribe

It's true! I got mine from Sweetwater a week or two ago. So far I really dig it! This was the first one in the series I got. I may get a Beats, they seem perfect for each other. Kinda like the poor man's Analog Rytm. :D
