To all you thinking about voting Clarke out: listen through "Speak and Spell" before casting your vote. Thanks.
Comparison is the thief of joy.

Meh. Vince is a very funny guy, and has written many a classic but he always makes the same bleeping noises with his massive collection.

So he must die.

Nope, he's going down, Speak&Spell or not! The final round shall be a clash of titans indeed

And DM sucked. Every single song. With and without VC. I may have said that previously 8-).

The only song I know of that VC contributed to, and that did not suck entirely, is 'Don't go' by Yazoo. But that is mostly due to Alison Moyet's fantastic voice.

Did I already mention I hate 80s synth pop ?
Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it. - ARP 2600 manual, 1971

Not a big fan of that either. It was heavy metal or nothing for me in the 80s. Plus Jean-Michel Jarre, but that doesn't count as 80s synth pop, he was a genre of his own ^^ All the identi-kit 2-man british synthpop bands passed my hemisphere.

I'm with you on that. What a classic. One of my favorite records.

Still can't believe they killed off Carlos...here's a little minimal wave tribute from the same year as Speak & Spell...

Rest in peace...

Looks like all the votes have been cast for this round, Stab. Onto the next round? The final clash of titans!

"titans" ;)
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

Even though I voted him out. I have always liked Thomas Dolby's Europa and the pirate twins. I saw him live at the Marquee in the 80's and he was pretty good as far as I remember.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard any of his solo albums all the way through. I just think the production on Steve McQueen is immaculate.

Something seems to have gone wrong with the rating? Dolby's at 35% but greyed out?

I think he needs to go- he's still telling the story that is PPG 360/380 was originally built for Tangerine Dream's light show. Every good synthesist knows that's not true...

Voting's over and he's out. The greyed or not greyed just says who you voted for.
