I doubt we'll see them smash the Buchla 200e system that cost like $30k

I've seen pictures of Al Jourgenson's Fairlight CMI, and it looked like c**p, with what looked like cigarette smoke and perhaps burns on it, amongst other blemishes. And that was a 50 grand or whatever piece when he bought it. Imagine what some of his cheaper gear probably looked like.

I'm sure some of the smoke residue was from crack.

that's dope man-009, the cool thing is I bet he actually enjoyed selling you your esq-1 synth! I saw an interview he did where he talked about working in a music shop selling keyboards and he said it drove him insane cuz everyone at the time wanted a keyboard that had a great sounding piano or orchestra sounds. The ensoniq esq 1 is definitely not a "piano/orchestra" kinda synth, it's a truly unique sounding beast, and I would put money on it that he accually was glad to sell you that synth, as I am willing to bet he liked the esq-1, he may have owned one or a dozen throughout the years.

cool a*s story with your esq-1 !!!

Much like eating a poppy seed muffin, playing any instrument owned by Al Jourgenson before a drug test will cause you to test positive for opiates.

I'd imagine there's so many old drug/oil residues on and inside that synth, that you'd get high for a week when you turn it on for the first time.

maybe this is all a big misunderstanding.

seeing as this guy has a problem with punctuation perhaps he isn't suggesting NIN had anything to do with this synth at all.

maybe the title is meant to be read as "Nord lead, 3 nine inch nails. owned"

;)

Still looks a bit shady. Plus Bro made a good point about the quality of these versus a home studio guy.
bonne chance

Maybe the guy actually has 9 inch long nails. And it has nothing to do with the band at all.

"A bit shady"? The dude refuses to send pictures, that means he doesn't even HAVE the fricking synth he's trying to sell

I don't know if dude thought by putting it was owned by NIN that it would drum up more bids and sell for a higher price, and if he did, it's probably working, look at all the attention this nord lead 3 is getting, right now it is the cheapest one on ebay, all though the real cost off an ebay item usually goes down to the very last min. but you guys shouldn't bust his ballz completely, I mean if he has been an ebay member since 2005 and has had 171 sells/buys and not one single person gave him a negative ratting, meaning all 171 people were happy with the product he sold or bought, it's not like this guy is an new ebay user with zero feedback sent to jack up the price of an item and make a "false bidding war"

who cares, all I know is I won't be buying this nord lead 3 anytime soon or any nord lead 3 for that matter (unless it was owned by a famous musician)
