Hey I might get a novation drum station because I want cheap 808 and 909 sounds. Any suggestions of alrernatives?? Preferabley cheaper ones.

Roland MC-303 or Boss DR-202 are a couple of cheap alternatives.

A sampler and the Goldbaby 808 and 909 sample packs would be my choice. You already have Live so you don't even need the sampler, just put the samples into a drum rack.

Nord drum or Nord drum 2 would be an option.

I have a Boss DR202 and find it very good. I have lots of fun twiddling with the Cutoff, Resonance and Decay. It's got some nice bass sounds as well. Only drawback for me is that the LCD is not back-lit.
