I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

So I know the specs for the poly limit as far as the engine goes , but is there a poly note limit in the sequencer when using the digital parts or drum part for that matter ? Anybody hit any limits ? Curious to know I couldn't find anything in the PDF touching the subject , which could be a good indicator that it's a mute point ... IDK

Now available in white....maybe it won't show fingerprints and certainly should be easier to read the labeling.

Personally. I think this looks better than the black one.

Limited edition of course.

I just got my JD-Xi. I have to say that it sounds terrific. I found the machine to be very intuitive to use right out of the box. The four-part sequencer is very easy to use, and works well as a sketchpad of sorts for ideas.

A couple of nits. The interface is very hard to read and see in low light, though. The keyboard isn't exactly a dream to play. It's not as good as the slim keys of the ARP Odyssey, but certainly better than, say, the Novation Mininova. Still, most players will want to use a separate MIDI keyboard.

I'm not super-impressed with the analog portion of the synth. Only the OSC and VCF are actually analog. It sounds fine, but not spectacular.

If you get a good deal on one, I'd say buy it.
