Re: Prophet 6
Sounds excellent. Some very nice textures there.
I can see once these get in the hands of users, we will be hearing an even broader palette of the true sonic potential of the Prophet 6.
Are these presets on the Prophet 6, edits, homegrown?
Very nice, thanks for taking the time to share these.

Re: Prophet 6
I've found I work better with "limitations", as in my creativity seems to respond from working around objects. It took me a long time to realize this, thinking the deepest, most expansive trinket could yield unlimited expression. For me it worked just the opposite, I became lost in minutia and thusly lost my directions/creativity. Some folks can navigate this better than others...maybe its my age and the fact I grew up on/in a more simpler time, i.e. analog. Each to his/her own of course. I marvel at how some of you can have these huge modular units, and stacks of boards and equipment and still make great music. I just find myself wanting to play around with every piece and try to get them in each of my songs...kind of crowds the room and my mind.
Having been forced to sell my entire studio (voyager, P5, TR808, RS505, VP330, Tempest etc.) I was more than stoked with the introduction of the P6. I was certain my dream studio wouldn't ever come back to me, until the Sub37 and the P6 dropped. I'll soon have the P6, and acquired the Sub37 a few months back. So the studio is nearly re-made, not as a direct image of the former. Voyager => Sub37, TR8=>808, P5=>P6, RS505=>Streichfett.
Also I learned today I'm 18th on the list at Sweetwater for their first shipment of P6s. I signed up 1/23/15 for their waiting list, if that helps anyone else out.

Re: Prophet 6
Just wanted to point out that Automatic Gainsay (marc doty) has a chat with Sonictalk about the Prophet 6
on their weekly podcast/videocast thingy. Seems like he has one. Expecting a big 15-part review soon.
It's between 44:22-55:10
Marc also tells some funny DX7 stories at 26:20

Re: Prophet 6
Unison detuning was glossed over in the Sonic State video. In the demo video by PluginGuru last week he shows that turning the slop knob when in unison mode will change the amount that the oscillators are detuned from each other. The effect was pronounced and sounded good to me.

Re: Prophet 6
I'm sure Marc will dedicate an entire episode to just the unison feature.
