Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it. - ARP 2600 manual, 1971

the summer in 2001 i was stucked in Roma with about 35 degrees and no one in the streets, you could listen the eco of the few people wich not have holydays; so in my flat i listned to Zeit enterely for the first time and i play it at the maximum volume, the walls seemed to talk, i opened all the Windows...it was a fearing but intense experience.
rest in peace

Hearing Phaedra for the first time was a mind blower and a huge influence. Thanks, Edgar.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Tangerine Dream was never among my favorites, but it is always disheartening to hear of the passing of an influential electronic artist. Rest in peace, Edgar.

I'm really sad. Tangerine Dream is very important for me. Maybe Edgar's recent output wasn't as good as his Works from the 70 and 80's but hey, he was 70 and he never stopped working.

He was so particular, but then, what genius isn't?

Dream well Edgar.

Dark day for sure, but of course everything must end. And for all intents and purposes this is the end of Tangerine Dream. What a great run too.

I thought this too and then I heard the GTA V soundtrack last year. What an awesome return to form, and in tune with the modern era too. He still had it.

RIP.

He did amazing music.

His best stuff had the perfect balance between the abstract and the melodic.

I've loved Tangerine Dream since around 1981 (Exit). I used to think - "man, those guys are cool!" and I'd play the album as loud as teenagerly possible.

RIP Mr. Froese
