Fair enough. I have 32 different sounds so far from it with just the MD. Was able to get a nice boom-y kick sound too(not that ill use it). I may be at a disadvantage, but the MD is still pretty good for the job.

So far its been kind of fun just seeing what i can get out of it.

Too bad no one else here is doing it lol

I've gotten some cool stuff from the OT, I was kind of unhappy that my percussion sounds still had vocal formants in them, then I remembered the LFOs can do a one shot expo envelopes and can be routed to pitch, totally fixed it. Having a lot of fun exploring stuff I've never done with it before, I know I won't win but I'll come out knowing the machine better.

You know im having the same sentiments. Like after this "exercise" of sorts ill have a better grasp on the machine. Right now im trying to get a nice pad-ish sound and see if i can use the same "patch" on 3 tracks for chords/texture. So far its proving to be a bit difficult lol

Using lfo's as Env's is pretty sweet(def used that a couple of times). Trying to get a good snare out of "not" from the sample was something i was working on. Were you able to get a decent snares from that sample? I feel im close but if you did i would love to hear what you came up with.

Some of the bass sounds i was able to create have great texture due to the vocal issue you talked about. Is there a trick for slowing down samples using an lfo w/o resampling? I think theres something like that but Might require resampling. Or maybe lfo to down pitch? Idk

Anyway /rant

Elektron sample contest at Elektronauts forum
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Ah, cool. I have not been on Elektronauts for a long time.
Far too late to get involved though. Shame.

haha, well, I got a lot on at the mo. I'd probably not enjoy the restrictions.

I dunno actually, i'll DL the sample later and see.

Edit2: Actually I would love these restrictions now I am clear on them ha

Sample one of your farts, tune it down until it's a steady bassy beat, submit, insta-win.
