I suck at electronics, but I'd pay that guy to make me one ^^ I've seen several blog/projects of perfectly working laser harps. Although it would probably never see the outside of my livingroom anyway.

Jarre has made so many versions of it for various tours. I like the one where the lasers bend at the top and go out over the audience the most. I think he had it in the mid 90s, it had a huge frame around it, more like an actual harp.

I'm actually trying to make one at the moment (started over a year ago! ) in between ongoing repairs to other gear including the venerable VCS3 - priorities and all that. During that time, friend with Synthex turns up ... curse these distractions!

That sounds like a LOT of my projects... Just like my Laser Harp Project - bought Hobley's plans when he was still selling them, I have the Arduino, but still need to get a big laser for it...

According to Paul Wiffen one last Synthex was cobbled together for Stevie Wonder using parts from three presumably non-working Synthexes. Why would they have to do this if so many parts still existed?
Prophet 5 rev.2, Pro-One, Juno 60, Jupiter 6, Matrix 12, OB8, MS20, Poly 800, CS70M, DX-7, CP35, Casio PX-5S, Hammond C3/M102, Vox Continental/Super Continental, Gibson G101, Farfisa Compact, RMI 300A, Pianet N, Combo Pianet, S770, S760, S50, NS3C

I suppose Elka had shut down so they couldn't get their hands on those parts. They were just nesting in some huge warehouse.

Surprised nobody saw it...

Sound it could be digital though, or maybe a mix of digital and analog... Well, we will see.
Minimoog Voyager, Pulse 2, MS-20 Mini, Bass Station 2, Virus TI,DSI Mek, DSI Prophet 08, Nord Modular G2, x0xb0x, MB-6582, Sammich FM, Shruthi XT, Juno 106, S90ES, TX81Z, DM10X e-drums, Rocktron Banshee, Dr-110 and too many VSTs.

this is a VA which has nothing to do with the Synthex re-issue/kickstarter thing from Finland.

apparently Mario Maggi has very very recently copyrighted/trademarked the name 'Synthex' so when/if the analog re-issue comes into existence there's a very good chance they will have to name it something other then Synthex

there was quite a detailed post about it on Matrixsynth last week
