Just my opinion, but I think Keith Emerson is the undisputed master of the brass patch -- and here's one of his better ones, from "Touch and Go," which appeared on the 1986 Emerson Lake & Powell LP.
Any idea what synth Keith might have used for the intro/lead? Moog modular?

There's a good chance it was partially the Oberheim Matrix 12:
