Martin Gore - MG, "they call it euro-crack"

Post by mute » Sun May 10, 2015 6:20 am

New instrumental album from DM's Martin Gore. It's "80%" eurorack". Basically made a sci-fi film score. One of the interviews is funny, when he's showing his studio and goes on about his euroracks and how he hasn't been able to stop collecting (wish I had that kinda bank account).

Interview, synth talk is @ 1:45 -
couple songs -

It kinda wanders between what you might know from him instrumentally, mixed with like.. vangelis and pan sonic. Pretty varied selection. I quite like most of it.. pretty different from what i was expecting after his vcmg project with vince clarke.

That's a nice setup he has! The music is good too. I was disappointed when I got his first solo album back in 1990, but this sounds much more interesting.

it is available on spotify by the way, sound pretty cool. I have that counterfeit lp, and it is a little bit underwhelming on the other hand it is just a bunch of covers.

Big DM fan and also loved the VCMG project, so I'll definitely check this out at some point.
