Having once owned a DX21 I would suggest if you can get a Reface DX without losing $ on a DX21, ie a trade, than go for it. I loved the DX21 back in the day and was my inspiration to get a Reface DX. The Reface DX is quite similar to a DX21, but has better fidelity and an easier way to program it. However, it doesn't have the amount of preset memory that a DX21 has.

Can the reface split the kbd or play two patches at the same time?
If not i would keep the DX-21. Owned one In the

No it can't. However, it does have a fairly good FX section and a looper that transmits MIDI. BTW, I really like my Reface DX.
