Re: Korg Might Be Up To Something.
I love my Korg Odyssey and I still want Korg ARP2600! And 86% size business would be very nice this time, like TTSH. It should somehow need to be able to do duophonic with MIDI keyboard tho! The duophonic feature of Odyssey is one of the most important things of it; makes unique sounding.

That would require a redesign, might aswell add a digital oscillator with 256 cool waveforms, a sampler, and call it ARP 2700S

Did some versions of the 2600 have duophonic capability?

I think it did, some later ones.garranimal wrote:Did some versions of the 2600 have duophonic capability?
(and then, I'd make a tri-phonic capable as well since it has 3 oscs. that'd be awesome)

I've also been hearing a lot of chatter about Korg working on a 2600. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the rumours are true.

VCO 2 - Upper voice tuned to C (its this upper voice you use to play a maj/min 3rd)

Not the 2600 synth itself, but the keyboard - The original 3604P was mono only, the duophonic 3620 came out in 1974. Unlike the Odyssey, the duo function memorizes each note CV, so you can patch it to play major/minor chords with two fingers:garranimal wrote:Did some versions of the 2600 have duophonic capability?

Korg Arp Odyssey
Do the slider caps for all 3 versions of the Korg Odyssey fit the Arp Vintage ones ?

Re: Korg Arp Odyssey
It's possible that the Tic-Tak ones may fit if you warm them up a bit, but the Korg's MKIII moulded ones don't, as they've been recast to fit the new sliders.
