I'm kinda excited about this. 13 lbs, and about the width and length of 2 sheets of paper. The Prophet 6 sound is growing on me, unlike previous DSI endeavors. Something about the harmonics in the oscillators all playing together is hypnotizing. I played the keyboard version recently: Not so much oozing with character, just a very good, overall balanced tone and should be quite versatile.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

I'm excited too. For one thing, I'm hoping the module will be at least $500 cheaper than the keyboard version, which will bring it more within my price range. And if the prices on these units trend like the P08 modules, these things will be significantly less expensive than the keyboard version in the near future. Yet, you still get that great Prophet sound! :)

Price, price, price :?: :?:
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Meh, it will probably cost the same as a new Motif XF6 anyway. Way out of my price range.

Looks fantastic. Can't really see any downsides. I love the Prophet sound but don't have the playing chops to take advantage of what it has to offer, so this is great for someone like me. I won't be able to afford it for some time, but the price seems quite reasonable.

I paid $1900 for my XF6 in 2011...

I'm sure teh interwbz will soon be raging over DSI greed/ripoff and why isn't it $1500 like a P08 :banghead:

I'm on-board with this idea, since evidently they don't plan to release a 61-key version - I can just plop it atop my DX7 and take advantage of my E! expansion's MIDI split/layer capabilities :)

Can't be racked. I find that dumbfounding. That'll be a deal-breaker for a lot of people.

It looks like it might fit if the walnut end pieces are removed.

I'm liking this idea more and more. With a 6-voice knobby VCO module and my DX7 for a keybed, I could probably sell off my JP6 altogether, but I'm gonna need to check into some more demos of the P6 sound first.
