Roland D 70 - Help With Repair

Post by wonder » Fri Oct 30, 2015 10:46 pm

Newbie here.

I'm fixing a Roland D 70 for a friend. There was no sound coming from the keyboard.

I opened it up and re-seeded the flex cables for the higher keys. The lower keys still won't sound.

I've done some testing and have come down to the green circuit flex contact board might be the issue ...

ANYONE run across this?
Any suggestions on how to test and see if its sending signal?
Is this worth fixing to sell?

Here's some photos

Part i removed because the contacts were worn out

The green circuit flex contact board (Roland Part # 22925690-00) that i suspect is the issue. Roland doesnt sell this part anymore.

The cable i fashioned to bypass the offending original flex connector.

ANY suggestions are appreciated.
